Dr. Bahar SM

Managing Director, Senior River Morphologist and Coastal Engineer. P. Geo. (Ltd.), P. Eng

Dr. Bahar SM has extensive experiences in Coastal Engineering, Fluvial Geomorphology, Hydrology, Hydraulic and Sediment Transport. He has a strong interest in the field of geomorphic assessment, hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic and water quality modeling, fluvial and sediment transport processes. He has worked over 35 years in Water Resources Engineering, Fluvial Geomorphology and Coastal Engineering. He has studied fluvial geomorphology in his M.Sc. Engineering, Doctor of Engineering and Post-Doctoral research. He has done research on fluvial processes such as meandering channel migration, sediment transport, riverbed-form, form roughness and cohesive riverbank erosion. He did research on riverbed-form and developed a relationship between bed-from height/steepness and form roughness. He has developed 2D hydrodynamic and sediment transport model codes (FORTRAN) in his Ph. D. and Post-Doctoral research, respectively. As a senior fluvial geomorphologist and water resources engineer, Dr.  Bahar SM has international experience working on research and consulting engineering projects in Bangladesh, Japan, USA, and Canada.
